Assistant/Associate/Full Professor; Pesticide Toxicology/ Insect molecular systematics and evolutionary genomics
 
The Department of Entomology at National Chung Hsing University in Taiwan is seeking a highly motivated scientist specializing in either pesticide toxicology or insect molecular systematics and evolutionary genomics. The successful candidate must meet the following criteria: 1) Possess a Ph.D. degree in entomology or a related field; 2) demonstrate research expertise either in pesticide toxicology or in insect molecular systematics and evolutionary genomics; 3) exhibit proficiency in both Chinese and English languages and ability to lecture in English; 4) offer courses either in insecticide toxicology, pesticides and general biochemistry or insect molecular systematics, evolutionary genomics and population genetics; 5) deliver an oral presentation and conduct a lecture in English as part of the interview process.
The position will be available from February 1^st, 2026

1. Curriculum vitae including contact information, portrait photo, educational background, relevant academic employment, and publication list.
2. Copy of Ph.D. degree certificate.
3. Copy of Ph.D. dissertation.
4. Copy of five publications, and describing its importance in respective research filed.
5. Proposal for courses either on insecticide toxicology, pesticides, and general biochemistry, or on insect molecular systematics, molecular evolution, evolutionary genomics. Proposals for additional courses in related disciplines are also welcome. (NCHU Course Outline Format)
6. Supplementary material: certificates of post-doc research, relevant academic employment, teaching experience, and anything else that has relevance to the application.

Recommendation letters: Two recommendation letters should be send directly to entom2@nchu.edu.tw not later thanApril 30th, 2025, 5 pm (UTC+8).
One recommender should be the applicant’s current supervisor or laboratory primary investigator.
