It is my distinct honour to inform you that AARDO, in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan), the Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute (TARI), and the National Agriculture & Food Research Organization (NARO) of R.O. China (Taiwan), is organizing
a Hybrid-mode/Online International Workshop on “Unlocking Agrifood Innovation: From Sensors to Smart Farms” at the Chang Yung Fa Foundation Building, Taipei, Taiwan, from 1 – 2 September 2025.
This international workshop is a significant initiative aimed at building capacity, enhancing regional cooperation, and promoting innovation in agricultural and food production systems across AARDO member countries. The programme is designed with the following core objectives:
- To highlight the transformative role of smart sensors and digital technologies in optimizing resource management, improving farm productivity, and enhancing profitability;
- To foster interdisciplinary collaboration among researchers, engineers, farmers, agribusiness professionals, and technology developers across AARDO member and partner countries;
- To develop a shared strategic vision for the adoption of smart sensing solutions to advance sustainable agricultural development in the Asia–Africa region.

It is hoped that the above-mentioned programme will be found useful, and up to five suitable candidates may kindly be nominated to attend this
online interactive training workshop.
Participants are required to complete the online application form through the following link only: http://aardo.org/formDD.php before the deadline of 20 August 2025. After the primary screening of applications, an e-Pass will be issued to the selected participants to attend the online training.
Upon successful completion of the workshop, participants will undergo an interactive assessment session leading to the award of an e-Certificate.
